We checked into a very nice hotel in Nanjing and set out for a run around the lake in the morning. The air was crisp and clear as we made our way along the water's edge, the city gradually waking up around us. It was the perfect way to shake off the journey from Shanghai and get our bearings in this historic city.

That evening, we discovered Nanjing's food scene was exceptional. We visited two wonderful restaurants during our stay, each offering its own distinctive charm and flavour. The meals were memorable — the kind that linger in your memory long after you've left the table, making you want to return to the city just to eat there again.
